Sunday Salon

The Sunday Salon.com

And so the blogging lull continues into its second week.

The phones don't ever stop ringing. The paperwork is unending. WHERE'S OUR RECEPTIONIST AT???

If this firm is going to take so damn long to hire a new receptionist, then I shall be forced to acclimate. So over these next few days, I promise to continue with my reading, blogging, and blog-visiting. I'm also working on a post about Michal Ajvaz's The Other City which should be up shortly; plus, I just got two new books in the mail from Open Letter Press and am expecting an historical fiction novel to arrive sometime this coming week.

Time to suck it up and keep going. I mean, this is ridiculous. Two Sunday Salons in row with nothing between them.

Since the economy still sucks for an English/History major, I should probably just give up on this whole work-thing for awhile and go to grad school. Or will that just leave me even busier?

Ugh..I sure hope they are at least planning to hire a new receptionist. Good luck - it's gotta get better, right?

I had no time to read for pleasure during my one quarter as a grad student. Which really factored into my decision to quit. But then, I was still working full time...that doesn't go well with school.

Hope they hire someone soon!

Stupid "work." Always getting in the way of fun stuff. :-) Hope your life gets less crazy soon, lady.
