Sunday Salon

The Sunday Salon.com

Wow, two Sunday Salons with nothing between them! I've been Internet-silent this week, focusing instead on starting my job, getting settled, and catching up with old college friends still in the area. Just last night I went to a reunion party and saw many people I hadn't seen in several years. I am so glad I have so many friends already in this town and I don't have to start from scratch!

I haven't been doing much reading either, but I started Paradiso yesterday for the last leg of Richard's Dante read-along. I'm up to Canto 20 and expect to have it finished by tomorrow. Then I'll resume the Horrible Dare Challenge with Maggie Stiefvater's Shiver. Would you believe this library wherein I work has over three million books but not a single copy of Hush, Hush? Granted, that's probably for the better but it's still a bit frustrating. I have started this challenge and I intend to complete it, regardless of how painful that may turn out to be.

Once Shiver's done I'll pick up I Hotel again. I really need to get that review done for The Front Table.

So, once again, I apologize for my absence but I should be back on track this week. Happy reading!

No weekly link round-up today. That will resume next week.

I'm so happy for you! Can just hear the energy and contentment in your voice. Blogging will wait of course while you settle in to that satisfying new life. All the best!

I'm actually all settled now so blogging should resume its normal course.
