It is always a bit weird to me that people outside the Netherlands know Within Temptation. I know they're big in Mexico, but I never realised they were known elsewhere as well.
Gothic/symphonic metal is virtually unknown in this country. I found it by accident on YouTube. The closest thing we have here in the US is Evanescence, which is really watered-down and pop-sounding.
