Damn, I thought a Kinkade-Beksiński mash-up would be way cooler than this. Photoshop Phriday PHAIL! (Click here for more Wordless Wednesday.)
Update: I just remembered that there is an entire book series based on the paintings of Thomas Kinkade. Can someone please do something like that for the works of Zdzisław Beksiński? How about a psychic ghostwriter channeling H.P. Lovecraft?

And could have been way cooler than that. The disconnect between concept and execution. Sigh.
I was thinking of mutant skeletons and flying ruins attacking a patriotic NASCAR race. (Yes, Kinkade has NASCAR paintings. I am not making this up.)
Love the match-up. Very cool!
NASCAR?? A racetrack in a glowing meadow, with unicorns? Thanks for the Beksinski link.
The Madness of Thomas Kinkade
Hmmm, looks like Kinkade and Beksinski aren't so different after all. The latter is in-your-face disturbing, whereas the former is more . . . subtle. As Joan Didion put it, "A Kinkade painting was typically rendered in slightly surreal pastels. It typically featured a cottage or a house of such insistent coziness as to seem actually sinister, suggestive of a trap designed to attract Hansel and Gretel."
I still enjoyed it! Thanks
