Teaser Tuesday

• Grab your current read.
• Let the book fall open to a random page.
• Share with us two "teaser" sentences from somewhere on that page.
• You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from. That way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
Please avoid spoilers!

The American Girl by Monika Fagerholm
Pages 137-138 - But still, though you did not hear what the girls were saying to each other there where they were in their private shad off to the side in the garden, did you not discover, just by looking at them and their facial expressions, something muffled and alarming so to speak, something nevertheless a bit terrifying in the middle of all the light, summer, and fun? Something at least a bit ominous, which cast somewhat longer shadows in the bright day than what was normal.

Arc D'X Steve Erickson
Page 230 He turned to look at Erikson and there was no sweetness in Georgie's face at all. There was nothing in his face of childlike serenity; it was like the night the two of them left Georgie's flat when the sight of the Neuwall in the street had transformed the young Berliner's perverse earnest innocence to the malevolent fury that tried to kick the wall down.

I was looking at a review recently on this book, and it does sound like a very good book; loved your teaser.
