What I love . . . being able to show my writing to the world and receive feedback from like-minded boggers. And reading and reviewing great books!
My #1 goal . . . find a background and stick with it! I need a stable look!

I don't recall your previous background, but this one looks terrific. I'm don't care for anything too wild, or colors that are hard on the eyes:)

Oh, I've had many, many backgrounds. But I totally agree that anything with crazy colors or a really "busy" design is a no-no.
I like your look! I find the black and white color schemes very soothing. I'm actually annoyed by my own blog design, but since I use bubble girl all over the place, it's kinda too late to change it.
And you asked me about WordPress v Blogger...
They each have their quirks, but I find WordPress a little less temperamental. Blogger was reformatting my posts all the time...and I couldn't seem to get it to behave. Also, I love the embedded comments in WP...and the plugins. But if you really want to customize WP, you have to pay. That's its biggest drawback, IMO.
